At the request of The Veterans Fund, America's finest Military Bands are contributing some of their unique music to every VA Medical Center and Veterans Home in the United States. Most of these CDs, DVDs, and Tapes are being sent to The Veterans Fund, and the Fund distributes them to the individual veterans facilities.
An overwhelming response of gratitude from professional VA Facility staff members reflects the positive, uplifting effect the music is creating. A sampling of their letters . . .
"I would like to thank you for the c.d's sent to our Veterans at the Tennessee State Veteran's Home in Humboldt, TN. They love them! We will be using them throughout the year in room visits, special events, over the intercom system etc. We also play them in our café… You wouldn't believe the stories and memories the music has provoked." Through "Project Military Music," Veterans in care centers throughout America are now thrilling again at the music of "their" Bands. Those veterans helped make the music possible. It is entirely fitting and proper that it should now lift their spirits and enrich their lives.
The Veterans Fund offers sincere gratitude to the personnel of America's Military Bands. They are sending their music with joy, with haste, with appreciation, and with a resounding shared salute to their comrades-those who in other days, and at other times, stood on watch to maintain the freedom that our present military forces continue to preserve for us all.
